The producers at BIO.com review hundreds of photos of famous figures each week, from award-winning actors and popular singers, to headliners and scandal makers. While we're digging through these archives, we often come across amazing photos that we're just dying to share. So, without further ado, here's the one image that stands out to us this week:

One hundred and eleven years ago Annie Edson Taylor climbed into a wooden barrel and became the Queen of the Mist. Taylor, a widow by way of a a Civil War soldier, decided to travel over Niagara's hazy falls via a timber tub. She became the first woman and first person ever to complete such a feat.

Taylor is since considered an American daredevil (though this was her only known stunt). But honestly, what more would she have had to do to earn that title?
