Patsy Kensit Biography

(1968-)

Actress, singer. Born Patricia Jude Frances Kensit on March 4, 1968 in Hounslow, Middlesex, England. The daughter of small-time thief Billy "The Dip" Kensit, Patsy got involved in acting early on, appearing in TV commercials from age four.

In 1985, Kensit was the lead singer for the band Eighth Wonder. The group had several hits, which helped the actress gain exposure. Soon after, she began landing roles in bigger films, including Lethal Weapon 2 and Angels & Insects. In 2004, she joined the cast of the British soap opera Emmerdale.

Kensit is perhaps best known for her three marriages, all to musicians. She married Dan Donovan of Big Audio Dynamite in 1998; Jim Kerr of Simple Minds in 1992; and Liam Gallagher of Oasis in 1997. She and Kerr have a son, James; she has another son, Lennon, with Gallagher, whom she divorced in 2000.
