Actor, born on September 5, 1951 in Caraopolis, Pennsylvania, USA. The youngest of seven children born into a working class Catholic family. He studied speech for two years at Kent State before dropping out of school.

Keaton first appeared on TV in the children's series, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood as well as several popular prime time series such as Maude and The Mary Tyler Moore Hour. His breakthrough came with the comedy film Mr Mom (1983), and five years later, after Tim Burton's Beetlejuice (1988) and Clean and Sober (1988), he was named Best Actor by national film critics.

Burton cast Keaton as Bruce Wayne in the blockbuster film Batman in 1989 and Batman Returns in 1992. Other films include Pacific Heights (1990), Multiplicity (1996), Jack Frost (1998), and Cars (2006).

Keaton was married to Caroline McWilliams from 1982 until 1990. The couple has one son together, Sean Maxwell, who was born in 1983. He dated actress Courteney Cox from 1990-1995.
