Ivana Trump Biography

Former model and wife of Donald Trump. Born February 20, 1949, in Zlin, Czechoslovakia. A talented skier, Trump spent her teenage years competing in tournaments throughout Europe, before enrolling at Charles University in Prague in 1967. While a student, she launched a successful modeling career that eventually brought her to Canada then New York, where she met fledging real estate mogul Donald Trump. After a whirlwind courtship, the two married in 1977.

A fixture in the elite New York social scene during the 1980s, Trump became well known for her stormy relationship with billionaire husband Donald Trump, whose high-profile political deal-making and enthusiastic self-promotion kept their marriage in the public eye. The couple had three children (Eric, Donald Jr., and Ivanka) before seperating in 1990. After lengthy divorce proceedings, Trump won a $20 million divorce settlement despite the fact that Donald's real estate empire was tottering on bankruptcy.

In 1995, Ivana published a successful self-help book, The Best Is Yet to Come: Coping With Divorce and Enjoying Life Again, in which she advised women divorcees to "get yourself a great settlement - and before you do, take his wallet to the cleaners." In 1995, Trump married wealthy Italian businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli, but the couple separated in 1997.  In 2008, Ivana Trump married Rossano Rubicondi.

In the late 1990s, Trump created the House of Ivana, a multi-faceted fashion company that manufactured clothes, fragrances, and jewelry, which was sold on the Home Shopping Network.

In December of 2008, Trump officially split from fourth husband Rossano Rubicondi. Trump, 59, and Rubicondi, 36, dated for six years before they married in a lavish ceremony at Donald Trump's Palm Beach, Florida, estate this past April. She blamed the split on the couple wanting to live in different cities.
